Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "O people! Seek treatment, for Allah has not created any disease except that He has also created its cure, except for «السام», and «السام» means death."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that seeking treatment for illness is permissible. In fact, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) encouraged seeking treatment, and doing so is not contrary to reliance (tawakkul) upon Allah; rather, it is a Sunnah practice. Allamah Ibn Qayyim (rahimahullah) states: The affirmation of causes and effects is established, and there is a refutation against those who deny them, as well as a command regarding medical treatment. This is not contrary to tawakkul, just as warding off hunger and thirst, or heat and cold, with their opposites is not contrary to tawakkul. (Tayseer al-Aziz al-Hameed fi Sharh Kitab al-Tawheed, p. 111)
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) went to visit a sick person and said: “Why do you not call a physician for him?” They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Are you commanding us to do so?” The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: “Allah, the Exalted, has not sent down any disease except that He has also sent down its cure.” (Silsilat al-Saheehah, no. 2873)
It is also understood from this that for every disease there is a treatment, whether the one treating understands it or not. As narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (radi Allahu anhu), the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Allah, the Exalted, has not sent down any disease except that He has also sent down its cure; some people know it and some do not.” (Silsilat al-Saheehah, no. 451) However, death is a certain reality and an incurable condition.
