Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
From the mentioned hadith, it is understood that putting medicine in the nose is permissible. Seeking treatment for illness is not contrary to reliance (tawakkul) upon Allah. This narration also refutes those who say that since illness was already written in destiny (taqdeer), then what is the need for medication? The answer to this is that the true agent (fa'il) is Allah Himself; taking medicine is also from destiny (taqdeer).
