Hadith 656
أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ كِدَامِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي كِبَاشٍ، قَالَ: جَلَبْتُ غَنَمًا جُذْعَانًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَكَسَدَتْ عَلَيَّ، فَأَتَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((نِعْمَتِ الْأُضْحِيَّةُ الْجَذَعُ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ)) ، قَالَ: فَانْتَهَبَهَا النَّاسُ.
Abu Kabash narrated: I brought a six-month-old goat to Madinah and suffered a loss, so I went to Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and mentioned it to him. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A sheep that is eight or nine months old is the best for sacrifice."
