Conditions for validity of marriages from the time of disbelief
Hadith 655

اَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، نَا اِسْرَائِیْلُ، بِهَذَا الْاِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهٗ۔.
Israel (bin Yunus bin Abi Ishaq), may Allah have mercy on him, narrated from this chain a narration similar to the previous hadith.

Benefits:
If a woman accepts Islam first, then after one menstrual cycle (hayd), she may, if she wishes, marry another Muslim man. However, if she does not remarry, or if during her waiting period (‘iddah) her husband also accepts Islam, then the marriage contract from the time of disbelief remains valid. (See Hadith and Explanation No: 651/957)
