Explanation & Benefits

Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that a complete Muslim is one from whom others do not suffer any kind of harm. In another narration, it is reported from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As radi Allahu anhuma, in a marfu‘ (attributed to the Prophet) narration, that it was asked:
((Which of the believers has the best Islam? He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: The believer whose Islam is best is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe.)) (Silsilah Sahihah, no. 1491)
Which of the believers are superior in terms of Islam? He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: "The best of the believers in terms of Islam are those from whose tongue and hand other Muslims remain safe."
A Muslim believer should ensure that he does not harm anyone with his tongue, i.e., he should not backbite anyone, nor should he abuse anyone. Nor should he harm anyone with his hand, i.e., he should not cause any kind of harm, whether outwardly or inwardly.
