Hadith 61

وَبِهَذَا، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَا تَوَادَّ اثْنَانِ فِي اللَّهِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَيَفْسُدُ ذَلِكَ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا مِنْ ذَنْبٍ يُحَدِثُهُ أَحَدُهُمَا)).
With this same chain, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When two people love each other for the sake of Allah in Islam, then the committing of a sin by either of them creates discord between them."

From the mentioned hadith, the evil consequences and lack of blessings resulting from sin are established; that is, due to sin, the bond of friendship that existed between people because of Islam comes to an end.
