Sayyida Rabi’ bint Mu’awwidh bin ‘Afra’ (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me on the day of my marriage and sat down at my bedding place, while two girls were with me beating the duff and mentioning in their poetry my forefathers who were martyred at the Battle of Badr. They also said in their verses: “Among us is a Prophet who knows what will happen today and tomorrow.” So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “As for this statement, do not say it.”

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that on the occasion of marriage, it is permissible for young girls to sing songs and play the daff. The daff is an instrument that is open on one side; when it is struck, it does not produce any melody. However, by analogy with this, it is not permissible to declare drums, orchestras, bands, and musical instruments as permissible, which do produce melody. Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha narrates: One day, the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came to my house while two girls (from the Ansar) were reciting poems about the events of the Battle of Bu'ath. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam lay down on the bed and turned his face to the other side. After that, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu came and scolded me, saying: "This is the devil's instrument in the presence of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam!" Eventually, the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam turned towards him and said: "Let it be, remain silent." Then, when Sayyiduna Abu Bakr radi Allahu anhu became occupied with something else, I signaled to them and they left. (Bukhari, No. 949)
From the above hadith, it is also understood that mentioning the generals of the Muslims is recommended. From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that praising the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and composing poetry in his praise is a blessed act, but exaggeration is not permissible. From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that attributing the knowledge of the unseen ('ilm al-ghayb) to the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is not a correct belief.
