Hadith 596

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If it were not for the Children of Israel, meat would not decay (become foul), nor would food spoil, and if it were not for Hawwa (Eve), a woman would not be unfaithful (deceitful) to her husband."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
The meaning is that (salwa) the habit of hoarding meat developed among the Children of Israel. If they had not adopted this habit, but rather consumed it in due time and not stored it, then the question of the meat rotting would not have arisen at all. The second part of the mentioned hadith is: If it were not for Hawwa (Eve), a woman would not be unfaithful to her husband.
The meaning of this is that when Shaytan described the virtues of the forbidden tree before Sayyidah Hawwa (alayha as-salam), Sayyidah Hawwa (alayha as-salam) accepted the words of the accursed Shaytan, and then she also described the virtues of that tree to Sayyiduna Adam (alayhis-salam), so he too accepted it. This has been referred to as "betrayal," whereas no other kind of unfaithfulness or deceit is intended here.
