Hadith 593

Sayyida Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not secretly kill your children, for «غيلة» (having intercourse with a nursing woman) even affects a horseman and causes him to fall from his horse."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
It is narrated in Sahih Muslim: Sayyidah Judama bint Wahb Asadiyyah radi Allahu anha reported that she heard the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say: “I intended to prohibit you from ghilah (having intercourse with a nursing woman), but I observed that the people of Persia and Rome practice ghilah and it does not harm their children (their children do not die).” (Muslim, Book of Marriage, Chapter: The Permissibility of Ghilah)

Imam Malik rahimahullah said: Ghilah is when, during the period in which a woman is breastfeeding a child, her husband has intercourse with her. (Sunan Abi Dawud, No. 3882) It is thus understood that having intercourse with one’s wife during the period of breastfeeding is permissible.
