Hadith 576

With this same chain, it is narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every Muslim is forbidden to another Muslim. By the One in Whose hand is my soul! Satan leaves the house in which he hears the recitation of Surah Al-Baqarah." And he said: "Patience is from Allah, and haste is from Satan."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
➊ From the mentioned hadith, it is understood that the blood, honor, and wealth of one Muslim are forbidden (haram) for another Muslim. As it is stated in another hadith: ((Kullu al-muslimi ‘ala al-muslimi haramun damuhu wa ‘irduhu wa maluhu.)) ... “Every Muslim’s blood, honor, and wealth are forbidden for another Muslim.”

➋ ... From the above-mentioned hadith, the virtue of Surah al-Baqarah is also established: that in the house where Surah al-Baqarah is recited, Satan flees from that house. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Do not make your houses like graveyards. Indeed, Satan does not enter the house in which Surah al-Baqarah is recited.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Chapters on the Virtues of the Qur’an, Chapter: What has been reported regarding Surah al-Baqarah and Ayat al-Kursi)

➌ ... From the above hadith, the virtue of patience (sabr) is also established, that it is from Allah, the Possessor of Majesty.

➍ ... It is understood that haste is from Satan. Acting with deliberation and thoughtfulness has great virtue. As it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Sarjis al-Muzani radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Good appearance, acting with deliberation, and moderation are one part out of twenty-four parts of prophethood.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, no. 2010)

It is understood that in every matter, one should adopt forbearance, patience, and moderation. Because the more haste there is, the greater the influence of Satan will be. However, there should be no delay in obeying the command of Allah and His Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, because delaying in these matters is wasting time and displeasing Allah. If one delays in such matters, there is a danger that later Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, may take away the ability (tawfiq). As Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, has said: ﴿Fasta-biqul khayrat﴾ (, al-Ma’idah: 48) ... “Race towards good deeds.”
