Hadith 562

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، نا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَوْ كَانَ الدِّينُ بِالثُّرَيَّا لَذَهَبَ رِجَالٌ مِنْ فَارِسَ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ حَتَّى يَتَنَاوَلَهُ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "If the religion were at Thurayya (the Pleiades), even then people from Persia would reach there and acquire it (from there)."

The aforementioned hadith establishes the virtue of the people of Persia, and the explanation of the above-mentioned hadith is clarified by the incident of the acceptance of faith by Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi radi Allahu anhu.
