Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that the repentance of an innovator (bid‘ati) is not accepted. In another hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ((Indeed, Allah has veiled repentance from every person of innovation until he abandons his innovation.)) (Sahih Targhib wa Tarhib, No. 52) "Allah Almighty does not accept the repentance of an innovator until he abandons his innovation." (For further details, see the explanation of Hadith number 395)
