Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam foretold the destruction of Caesar and Chosroes and that the treasures of both would come into the hands of the Muslims. This prophecy was fulfilled: Caesar and Chosroes were destroyed, and the Muslims conquered Persia and Rome.

➊ Persia: The ruler of Persia was referred to as Chosroes (Kisra), and the dominion of Chosroes extended in the Indian subcontinent as far as Sindh. In Central Asia, its reach extended to Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, and the Ferghana Valley. In the Arab regions, Oman, Bahrain, and Yemen, etc., were under its control. In Iraq, their flag flew as far as the Tigris and Euphrates.

➋ Rome: Its ruler was famous by the title Caesar of Rome. Under the Roman Empire were present-day Turkey, the North African countries of Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, as well as the entire region of the Levant, which includes present-day Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, etc. Their borders extended up to these areas. In Iraq, both empires faced each other at the Tigris and Euphrates, meaning the rivers of Iraq formed the border between the two superpowers, and often wars between them would begin from here. After the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent letters inviting Caesar and Chosroes to Islam.

While explaining the aforementioned hadith, Imam Nawawi rahimahullah writes that due to the supplication (against them) of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Chosroes was destroyed, and all his kingship and dominion on the face of the earth was shattered and annihilated, whereas Caesar’s kingship and dominion vanished from the land of al-Sham (Greater Syria). The benefit that accrued to the Muslims was that they entered the cities of Caesar and Chosroes, conquered them, and spent the public treasury (bayt al-mal) of these governments in the path of Allah. Just as the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had foretold. This is considered one of the manifest miracles of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
