Example of one who takes back his gift
Hadith 499
اَخْبَرَنَا عِیْسَی بْنُ یُوْنُسَ، نَا الْاَوْزَاعِیُّ، عَنْ اَبِیْ جَعْفَرٍ۔ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ۔ عَنْ سَعِیْدِ بْنِ الْمُسَیَّبِ،عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: اَلْعَائِدُ فِی هِبَتِهٖ کَالْکَلْبِ یَقِیْئُ ثُمَّ یَعُوْدُ فِیْهِ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The one who takes back his gift is like a dog who vomits and then licks it up."
