Hadith Takhrij«مسلم ، كتاب البيوع ، باب تحريم بيع الحاضر للبادي . سنن ابوداود ، رقم : 3443 ، 3437»
Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: The reason for the prohibition, mentioned in the hadith, of going out to meet caravans is that a city dweller would go and meet a Bedouin before he reached the city market, so that he could misrepresent the prices to him and buy his goods at a cheaper rate, thus acquiring them for less than their actual value. The purpose of this prohibition is to protect the seller from deception and harm. This is the position of the majority of scholars. (Nayl al-Awtar: 3/539)
