It is narrated from Sayyidah Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her a share of forty wasq of dates and twenty wasq of barley in Khaybar. Asim bin Adi came to her and said: If I give you the same thing here in Madinah and take it from you in Khaybar, she replied: I will ask the Commander of the Faithful, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). She mentioned this to him, and he disliked it and said: What will happen to the guarantee? Wakee’ (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This is hundi (a type of promissory note), and it is disliked.
