Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: From the mentioned hadith, it is understood that earning wealth by forcing slave girls into fornication is forbidden. In the era of ignorance (Jahiliyyah), people used to compel their slave girls to commit fornication; Islam has strictly prohibited this act and declared such earnings unlawful. Allah the Exalted says: ﴿وَلَاتُکْرِهُوافَتَیَاتِکُمْعَلَیالْبِغَاءِاِِنْاَرَدْنَتَحَصُّنًالِتَبْتَغُوْاعَرَضَالْحَیَاةِالدُّنْیَاوَمَنْیُّکْرِهُّنَّفَاِِنَّاللّٰهَمِنْبَعْدِاِِکْرَاهِهِنَّغَفُوْرٌرَحِیْمٌ﴾ (An-Nur: 33).... “Do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, seeking the temporary gains of worldly life. And whoever compels them, then after their compulsion, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”
