أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ أَفْلَسَ بِمَالِ قَوْمٍ فَرَأَى رَجُلٌ مَالَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever becomes bankrupt among the people and a man finds his own wealth (present) in exactly the same condition, then he has more right to that wealth than anyone else."

In the aforementioned hadith, the rights of others concerning a person who has become bankrupt are described, namely that if someone’s property or goods are found in their original state with the bankrupt individual, then compared to other claimants, the original owner has a greater right to reclaim that property.
