The Companions of the Tablets
Hadith 4
(حديث مقطوع) أَخْبَرَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ سَمَّاهُ ، عَنْ كَعْبٍ ، قَالَ : " سَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ يُزَيِّنُونَ حَدِيثَهُمْ بِالْكَذِبِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُمْ : أَصْحَابُ الأَلْوَاحِ يُفْصَلُ اللُّؤْلُؤُ بِالْجَوْهَرِ " .
Ka'b narrated: Some people will come who will adorn their words with falsehood; they will be called the companions of the tablets. The pearl will be separated from the gem.
