Eating or drinking forgetfully does not break the fast
Hadith 399
أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، نا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ أَكَلَ نَاسِيًا أَوْ شَرِبَ نَاسِيًا فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ، فَإِنَّمَا أَطْعَمَهُ اللَّهُ وَسَقَاهُ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever eats or drinks forgetfully should complete his fast, for it is Allah who has fed him and given him drink."
