Hadith 393

اَخْبَرَنَا الثَّقَفِیُّ، نَا خَالِدُ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ اَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَافَ بِالْبَیْتِ عَلٰی بَعِیْرٍ، فَلَمَّا اَتٰی عَلَی الرُّکْنِ اَشَارَ اِلَیْهِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf of the House of Allah on a camel, and when he came to the corner (Rukn), he pointed towards it.

Kissing the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad), merely pointing towards it, and kissing whatever object was used to point towards it afterwards— all three methods are correct.
