Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf of the House of Allah on a camel. He had a curved staff with which he touched the Black Stone. When he had completed seven circuits, he prayed two rak‘ahs. Then he came to the place of providing water and asked for water. Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: O Messenger of Allah! Should we not arrange for you the same thing as we do in our homes? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “No, rather give me to drink from where the other people are drinking.” So water (Zamzam) was presented to him and he drank from it.

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: ➊ It is understood that performing tawaf (circumambulation) of the noble House of Allah (Baytullah) while riding is permissible. ➋ ... It is understood that after tawaf, two units (rak‘ahs) of prayer should be performed. The command of Allah, the Exalted, is: ﴿وَاتَّخِذُوْامِنْمَّقَامِاِبْرٰهِيْمَمُصَلًّی﴾ ( al-Baqarah: 125) ... “And take the standing place of Ibrahim as a place of prayer.” And in these two rak‘ahs, after Surah al-Fatihah, it is Sunnah to recite in the first rak‘ah: ﴿قُلْیَاَیُّهَاالْکٰفِرُوْنَ﴾ (Say: O disbelievers) and in the second rak‘ah: ﴿قُلْهُوَاللّٰهُاَحَدٌ﴾ (Say: He is Allah, the One). (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Chapters on Hajj, Chapter: What has been reported regarding what is recited in the two rak‘ahs of tawaf) It is also understood that after the two rak‘ahs at Maqam Ibrahim, it is Sunnah to drink Zamzam water. Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah has narrated in Hujjat al-Nabi that after performing the two rak‘ahs at Maqam Ibrahim, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went towards the well of Zamzam, drank from it, and poured some water over his head. (Hujjat al-Nabi by al-Albani, p. 58)
