Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: We used to call the water of Zamzam "Shiba'ah" (that which satisfies hunger), and we used to say that it is the best supporter for the family.

Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that the water of Zamzam is food for the eater. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhuma) that the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: ((The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam; in it is food for the eater and a cure for the sick.)) (Majma‘ al-Zawa’id: 3/286. Its narrators are reliable) .... "The best water on earth is Zamzam, which is food for the hungry and a cure for the sick."
Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhuma) reports that the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: ((The water of Zamzam is for whatever purpose it is drunk.)) (Sunan al-Daraqutni: 2/289) "The water of Zamzam fulfills the purpose for which it is drunk."
