Reward of Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj
Hadith 373
اَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَکْرٍ، اَنَا ابْنُ جُرَیْجٍ، اَخْبَرَنِیْ عَطَائٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ اَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِاِمْرَأَةِ مِّنَ الْاَنْصَارِ، وَسَمَّاهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَنَسِیْتُ اِسْمَہَا: اَ لَا تَحُجِّیْنَ مَعَنَا الْعَامَ؟ فَقَالَتْ: یَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰهِ، کَانَ لَنَا نَاضِحَانِ: فَرَکِبَ اَبُوْ فُـلَانٍ وَابْنُهٗ نَاضِحًا (لِزَوْجِهَا وَابْنِهَا) وَتَرَکَا لَنَا نَاضِحًا نَنْضَحُ عَلَیْهِ، قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاِذَا کَانَ عَامٌ قَابِلٌ فَاعْتَمِرِیْ فِیْ رَمَضَانَ، فَاِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِیْ رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a woman from the Ansar: The narrator said, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) also mentioned the name of that woman, but I have forgotten it: "Will you not perform Hajj with us this year?" She replied: O Messenger of Allah! We had two camels for bringing water, so Abu Fulan and his son (my husband and son) have gone away riding on one camel, and they have left one camel for us, on which we bring water. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the next year comes, perform Umrah in Ramadan, for Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj."
