Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: In the days of ignorance, Dhu al-Majaz and ‘Ukaz were commercial centers. When Islam came, it was as if they disliked (trading during the days of Hajj), so Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: «لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ» "There is no sin upon you that you seek the bounty of your Lord." That is, (do trade) during the months of Hajj.
