Hadith 340

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) while he was in the state of ihram, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) consummated the marriage with her at the place of Sarif when he was not in the state of ihram.

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
In another hadith, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ((Lā yankihu al-muhrimu wa lā yunkah)) (Muslim, Book of Marriage, no. 1409; Sunan Abi Dawud, no. 1841) ... "A person in the state of ihram neither marries himself nor gets someone else married."

Sayyiduna Sa'id bin al-Musayyib rahimahullah says: Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhuma was mistaken in thinking that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam married Sayyidah Maymunah radi Allahu anha while in the state of ihram. (Sahih Abi Dawud, no. 1628)

Because when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam's marriage took place, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhuma was young, and furthermore, Sayyidah Maymunah radi Allahu anha herself says: The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam married me at the place of Sarif and both of us were in a state of being halal (not in ihram). (Muslim, no. 1411; Sunan Abi Dawud, no. 1843)

Therefore, marrying or conducting a marriage in the state of ihram is prohibited and not permissible. Whereas cupping (hijama) is permissible.
