Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from its place of setting. When this happens, every person on the face of the earth will believe. But that will be the time when the faith of any soul will not benefit it if it had not believed before or had not done any good in its state of faith."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that a time will come when the sun will rise from the west instead of the east, and after that, no one’s repentance will be accepted. This is because only that faith is beneficial and accepted which is brought before entering the throes of death.
In another hadith, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Do you know where this sun goes after it sets?” The noble Companions radi Allahu anhum replied: Allah and His Messenger know best. He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “The sun continues to move until it reaches its resting place beneath the Mighty Throne (‘Arsh) and prostrates before Allah. Then it remains in that state until it is commanded: ‘Rise and return to where you came from.’ So it raises its head and returns, and rises from its place of rising (east). Then it continues on and, moving along, reaches its resting place and again prostrates before Allah.” After describing all this, at the end the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Do you know when the sun will rise from its place of rising? It will be at that time when it will not benefit any soul to believe, because before the sun rises from the west, neither did that person bring faith nor did he gain any good from his faith.” [مسلم ، كتاب الايمان ، رقم : 399]
