Tawoos (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated: I never saw that anyone opposed Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and he left him until he made him acknowledge (the truth). So Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) disagreed with him regarding the issue of the woman who gets her menses after performing the Tawaf on the Day of Sacrifice (10th Dhul-Hijjah). Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: She may depart. Then he sent a message to the woman who had faced this situation during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and that woman agreed with the stance of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: Performing the Tawaf al-Ziyarah is obligatory; it is performed on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah. If, due to some necessity, it is not performed on the 10th, then it can be performed on any of the days of the 11th, 12th, or 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. However, if it is not performed at all, then the Hajj will not be valid, because this is a pillar (rukn) of Hajj and there is no expiation (dam or fidyah) for leaving it.
Imam Nawawi rahimahullah states: There is consensus among the scholars that this tawaf is a pillar of Hajj and without it, Hajj is not complete. (Sharh Muslim li-Nawawi: 4/451)
However, if a woman has performed the Tawaf al-Ziyarah and then experiences menstruation (hayd), then performing the Farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wada‘) is not obligatory for her, and she may return to her homeland.
