Hadith 315

Lady Umm al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saying the same.

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that shaving the head (halq) during Hajj or Umrah holds greater virtue. This is because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam supplicated twice for those who shaved their heads, and only after that did he supplicate for those who trimmed their hair.
The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam shaved his head during Hajj, as is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar radi Allahu anhuma that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam shaved his head during the Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada‘).
