Hadith 309

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) uttering only these words on the occasion of Hajj and Umrah: "Here I am, O Allah! Here I am, You have no partner, here I am, all praise and blessings are Yours." Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that in this, Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "And sovereignty as well, You have no partner."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
Reciting the talbiyah during Hajj and Umrah is a Sunnah. If someone abandons it, he will be deprived of great reward. According to Imam Shafi'i and Ahmad (rahimahumullah), reciting the talbiyah is a Sunnah. According to the Malikis, it is obligatory (wajib), and whoever abandons it must sacrifice an animal. Imam Abu Hanifah (rahimahullah) says: the talbiyah is among the conditions of ihram; without it, the ihram is not valid. (Kitab al-Umm: 2/230; Bidayat al-Mujtahid: 1/268; Nayl al-Awtar: 3/330)
The preferred position is that of Imam Shafi'i and Ahmad (rahimahumullah): Hajj is valid without it. And various wordings of the talbiyah are established.
