If a prayer is missed, it should be made up
Hadith 171

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ فِي الرَّجُلِ يُسْبَقُ بِبَعْضِ الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: ((تَقْضِيهِ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِ)) ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: كَالدَّيْنِ، فَقَالَ: ((إِنَّ الْكَلِمَةَ قَدْ تَكُونُ مِثْلَ الْكَلِمَةِ وَهِيَ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهَا)).
Ibn Aun narrated from Muhammad about the man who misses a part of his prayer, so Muhammad said: He will make it up at his stations. A man said: Like a debt? So he replied: A matter is like a matter, and it is even better than that.
