أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، نا مَعْمَرٌ، وَعَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا نَحْفَظُ الْحَدِيْثَ فَقَطْ مِنْ رَسُوْلِ الله صَلَّى الله عَلَيهِ وسَلَّمَ فَأَمَّا إِذَا رَكَبْتُمْ كُلَّ صَعْبِ وَذَلْوْلٍ فَهَيْهَاتَ.
Syedna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrated: We used to memorize hadith only from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but when you started walking on hard and soft ground, then (trusting you) is a far-fetched matter.
