Hadith 169

Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "I am seeing nations who will be brought out of Hell in chains and taken towards Paradise."

Explanation & Benefits

Benefits:
In another hadith, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, will be amazed at those people who will enter Paradise, even though in the world, due to their disbelief, they were in shackles.” (Bukhari, No: 3010)

The meaning of the aforementioned ahadith is that the mujahideen will bring the disbelieving captives, bound in chains and shackles, into the abode of Islam (dar al-Islam), and then those captives, by entering the fold of Islam, will become deserving of Paradise. In the first narration, it is mentioned that they will be brought from Hell towards Paradise in chains. This can also mean that these people, due to their acts of disbelief, were destined for Hell, but the Muslims waged jihad, took them captive, brought them into the fold of Islam, and thus they entered Paradise.

It is also understood from this that after capturing disbelievers, they should be made aware of the teachings of Islam and its importance and benefits.
