Proof of the different recitations of the Noble Qur'an
Hadith 16
(حديث مرفوع) أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، نا هَارُونُ الأَعْوَرُ ، نا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهَا " فَقَرَأَ : إِنَّهُ عَمِلَ غَيْرَ صَالِحٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyida Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked regarding this (verse 46 of Surah Hud): so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «إِنَّهُ عَمِلَ غَيْرَ صَالِحٍ».
