Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: In another hadith, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "When any one of you has recited the Tashahhud, he should seek refuge with Allah from four things and say: ((Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi jahannam wa min 'adhabil-qabr wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal.)) (Muslim, Kitab al-Masajid, No: 588) It is understood from this that the above-mentioned supplication is Sunnah to recite after the Tashahhud. From the mentioned hadith, the existence of Hell (Jahannam) is established, and it is a refutation of those who deny Hell. Seeking refuge from Hell is mentioned first, because it is the place where there is no punishment greater than it anywhere else. ((wa min 'adhabil-qabr.)) It is understood from this that the punishment of the grave is also true, and those who deny it should fear Allah, the Possessor of Majesty. ((fitnatil-masihid-dajjal.)) "Masih" means "the one whose eye is wiped out," because he will not have an eye and will be blind in the right eye. "Dajjal" is from "dajl," which means "lie," because this person will claim divinity, and for the trial of people, Allah ta'ala will allow him to perform some extraordinary acts, through which many people will fall into tribulations. And the righteous, by Allah's tawfiq, will recognize him. And his trial will occur in the last era, and it is among the major signs of the Hour.
