Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: From the mentioned hadith, the virtue of sitting at the place of prayer after the prayer while waiting for the next prayer is established. For such fortunate people, the angels supplicate: “O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! Have mercy on him.” As in the Noble Qur’an, the words of their supplication are also mentioned: ﴿الَّذِیْنَیَحْمِلُوْنَالْعَرْشَوَمَنْحَوْلَهُیُسَبِّحُوْنَبِحَمْدِرَبِّهِمْوَیُؤْمِنُوْنَبِهٖوَیَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَلِلَّذِیْنَاٰمَنُوْا﴾ ().... “Those angels who bear the Throne and those around it, they glorify the praises of their Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness for those who believe.” () The question arises: If a person moves to another place within the mosque, will he still receive the same reward? ‘Allamah ‘Ayni rahimahullah says: If he moves to another place, he will still receive the same reward. (Umdat al-Qari: 5/167) Shaykh Ibn Baz rahimahullah has given the fatwa: If a woman, or similarly a sick person, or someone out of fear, prays at home and remains seated at the same place after the prayer, then he or she will also receive the mentioned reward. From the above hadith, it is also understood that if a person becomes without ablution (wudu) in the mosque, he is deprived of the aforementioned virtue and the supplications of the angels cease.
