If something touches a menstruating woman, it does not become impure
Hadith 105

أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُلَائِيُّ، نا صَالِحُ بْنُ رُسْتُمَ، عَنْ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْمَدَنِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ: قَالَ: ((نَاوِلِينِي الْخُمْرَةَ)) ، قِيلَ: مَنْ؟ قَالَتِ: النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي حَائِضٌ، فَقَالَ: ((إِنَّ حَيْضَتُكِ لَيْسَتْ فِي يَدِكِ)).
Umm Ayman (Barakah bint Tha'labah) رضي الله عنها narrated, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Hand me the mat." She said: "I am in a state of menstruation." So the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Your menstruation is not in your hand."

In Sunan Ibn Majah, it is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to me: “Hand me the prayer mat from the mosque.” I said: “I am menstruating.” So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Your menstruation is not in your hand.” (Ibn Majah, no. 632)
From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that if a woman in the state of menstruation (hayd) holds a piece of cloth, cooks food, or drinks water, those things do not become impure (najis).
