Hadith 1789
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا، وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً، الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَّةٌ .
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Yemen will come to you; they are soft-hearted, and the coverings of their hearts are delicate. Faith is of the Yemenis, and wisdom is also of the Yemenis."
Hadith 1790
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمِّي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ الْأَزْرَقِ قَالَ: وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ثَنِيَّةِ تَبُوكَ، فَقَالَ: "مَا هَهُنَا شَأْمٌ" ، وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى جِهَةِ الشَّأْمِ، "وَمَا هَهُنَا يَمَنٌ" ، وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى جِهَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ. أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْأَشْرِبَةِ وَفَضَائِلِ قُرَيْشٍ.
Hasan bin Qasim Al-Azraq narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood on the mountain pass of Tabuk and said: "There is misfortune here." And he ﷺ pointed with his hand towards Sham and said: "And there is blessing here." And he ﷺ pointed with his hand towards Madinah.
