Hadith 1669
It is narrated from Ya'la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I participated in a battle with the Prophet ﷺ. Safwan (may Allah have mercy on him) said, and Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that in my opinion, this battle was more reliable than my other deeds. Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said, Safwan said, Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I had a laborer, he fought with another man, and one of them bit the other's hand. The one whose hand was being bitten pulled his hand out of the mouth of the one biting, and one of his front teeth broke. He came to the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ dismissed his claim for the front tooth. Ata said, I think he said that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Would he have left his hand in your mouth so that you could chew it like a camel chews in its mouth?" Ata said, Safwan had told me who had bitten with his teeth, but I have forgotten.
