Abdullah bin Abu Bakr narrated from his father that the letter which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him), in it is stated: "One hundred camels are for (the killing of) one soul."

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the book of blood money that was sent from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him), that it states: "For a life, there are one hundred camels." Ibn Jurayj said: I asked Abdullah bin Abu Bakr: "Do you have any doubt that it is from the Book of Allah?" He replied: "No."
