Hadith 1605
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثِّقَةُ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَا يَحِلُّ قَتْلُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلَّا بِإِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ: كُفْرٍ بَعْدَ إِيمَانٍ، أَوْ زِنًا بَعْدَ إِحْصَانٍ، أَوْ قَتْلِ نَفْسٍ بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ .
It is narrated from Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible to kill a Muslim except for one of three reasons: becoming a disbeliever after having faith (apostasy), committing adultery while being married, or killing someone unjustly."
Hadith 1606
أَخْبَرَنَا الثِّقَةُ، وَهُوَ يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانٍ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَا يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ إِلَّا مِنْ إِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ: كُفْرٍ بَعْدَ إِيمَانٍ، أَوْ زِنًا بَعْدَ إِحْصَانٍ، أَوْ قَتْلِ نَفْسٍ بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ .
It is narrated from Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The blood of a Muslim man is lawful in only one of three cases: apostasy after faith, adultery after marriage, or unjustly killing a soul."
Hadith 1607
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "مَنْ غَيَّرَ دِينَهُ فَاضْرِبُوا عُنُقَهُ" . أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ جِرَاحِ الْعَمْدِ، وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ الْحَدِيثِ، وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْأُسَارَى وَالْغُلُولِ.
It is narrated from Zaid bin Aslam (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever changes his religion (Islam), kill him."
