Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade making nabidh (fermented drink) in green, white, and red pitchers.

It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not prepare nabidh (fermented drink) in vessels made from gourds or in greased containers." (Abu Salama said) Then Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: "You should also avoid green greased jars and vessels made by hollowing out wood."

Zuhri narrates that I heard Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade making nabidh (fermented drink) in vessels made of gourds and in greased jars.

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to the people during a certain expedition. Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I turned towards him, but before I reached, he (peace and blessings be upon him) had already returned. I asked the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) what he had said. They replied that he (peace and blessings be upon him) had forbidden making nabidh (fermented drink) in gourds made from bottle gourd and in oil jars.

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (making nabidh) in certain vessels, it was said to him that not everyone has a waterskin. Then the Prophet ﷺ permitted (making nabidh) in all jars except the green, oily jar.

It is narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Nabidh used to be soaked for the Prophet (ﷺ) in a waterskin; if that was not available, then it would be soaked in a drinking vessel made of stone.
