Hadith 1527
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ أَوْ ضَارِيًا نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ" .
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever keeps a dog for purposes other than guarding livestock or hunting, two qirats are deducted from his reward every day."
Hadith 1528
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ: أَنَّ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ، هُوَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَزْدِ شَنُوءَةَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: "مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ" . قَالُوا: أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قَالَ: إِي وَرَبِّ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ.
It is narrated from Sufyan bin Abu Zuhair (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Whoever keeps a dog, his reward decreases by two qirats every day." The people asked, did you hear this (yourself) from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? He replied, yes! By the Lord of this mosque, (I myself heard it).
Hadith 1529
أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ. أَخْرَجَ الثَّلَاثَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْبُيُوعِ.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs.
