Hadith 1513
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أُحِلَّتْ لَنَا مَيْتَتَانِ وَدَمَانِ، الْمَيْتَتَانِ: الْحُوتُ وَالْجَرَادُ، وَالدَّمَانِ: أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: الْكَبِدُ وَالطِّحَالُ . أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ الصَّيْدِ وَالذَّبَائِحِ.
It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two dead things and two types of blood have been made lawful for us. The two dead things are: locusts and fish. And the two types of blood, I think the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: the liver and the spleen."
