Hadith 1508
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الضَّبُعِ أَصَيْدٌ [ ص: 234 ] هِيَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. فَقُلْتُ: أَتُؤْكَلُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. فَقُلْتُ: سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قَالَ: نَعَمْ.
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Ammar that I asked Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them), "Is hunting the badger permissible?" He replied, "Yes." Then I asked, "Is eating it permissible?" He replied, "Yes." I asked again, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes."
Hadith 1509
أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، وَعَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الضَّبُعِ أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ. قُلْتُ: أَتُؤْكَلُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قُلْتُ: أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْمَنَاسِكِ، وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الصَّيْدِ وَالذَّبَائِحِ.
