Yahya bin Ja'dah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, he assigned houses to the people. When a tribe of Banu Zuhrah, who were called Banu Abd bin Zuhrah, said that Ibn Umm Abd (i.e., Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him) should be removed from our houses (i.e., he should not be given a plot of land near our houses), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then why was I sent by Allah? Indeed, Allah does not purify a nation that does not fulfill the rights of guests."

Hisham narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave a piece of land to Zubair (رضی اللہ عنہ), and Umar bin Khattab (رضی اللہ عنہ) allotted plots in the region of Aqiq and gathered the people and said: "Where are those who are seeking a piece of land?" And Aqiq is a place near Madinah.
