Hadith 1482
قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ: قُلْتُ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ أَوْ غَيْرُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصِّدْقِ فِي الْحَدِيثِ أَوْ هُمَا، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: ابْتَاعَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ بَيْعًا، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ: لَآتِيَنَّ عُثْمَانُ فَلَأَحْجُرَنَّ عَلَيْكَ وَأَعْلَمَ ذَلِكَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الزُّبَيْرَ، فَقَالَ: أَنَا شَرِيكُكَ فِي بَيْعِكَ، فَأَتَى عُثْمَانَ، فَقَالَ: احْجُرْ عَلَى هَذَا. فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ: أَنَا شَرِيكُهُ، فَقَالَ: عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَحْجُرُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ شَرِيكُهُ الزُّبَيْرُ؟ أَخْرَجَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ وَعِمَارَةِ الْأَرْضِينَ مِمَّا لَمْ يَسْمَعِ الرَّبِيعُ مِنَ الشَّافِعِيِّ.
Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father, who said: Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) bought something, so Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I will go to Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) and file a case against you to prevent you from disposing (of your wealth)." When Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) told this to Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: "I am your partner in this sale." Then they went to Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Prevent him from disposing (of his wealth), for he is being extravagant." So Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I am his partner." Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "How can I prevent a man from disposing (of his wealth) when Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) is his partner?"
