Ibn Wahla Al-Misri narrates that he asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) about wine extracted from grapes. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “A man gifted a wineskin of wine to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), so the Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Do you not know that Allah Almighty has made it unlawful?’ The man said: ‘No.’ Then he whispered to a man sitting beside him. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘What did you whisper to him?’ He said: ‘I told him to sell it.’ Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘He who made its drinking unlawful has also made its selling unlawful.’ Then he opened both wineskins until they were empty (i.e., the wine was poured out and wasted).”

It is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that some people from Iraq said, "We will buy dates and grapes, then extract wine from them and sell it." So Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "I call Allah, His angels, and whoever among humans and jinn is listening as witnesses over you that I do not command you to sell it, nor to buy it, nor to extract it, nor to serve it, because it is filth and a satanic act."
