Qasim bin Abu Bazah narrated: When I came to Madinah, I found that camels had been slaughtered, and their meat had been divided into portions. Each portion was equal to a one-year-old kid of a goat or sheep. I wanted to buy one of these portions, but a man from among the people of Madinah said to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden selling a living animal in exchange for a dead one. Ibn Jurayj said: I inquired about this man, and I was given a good introduction about him.
