Hadith 1219
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَا تَضْرِبُوا إِمَاءَ اللَّهِ" ، قَالَ: فَأَتَاهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ذَئِرَ النِّسَاءُ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِنَّ، فَأَذِنَ فِي ضَرْبِهِنَّ. فَأَطَافَ بِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ نِسَاءٌ كَثِيرٌ، كُلُّهُنَّ يَشْكُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَقَدْ أَطَافَ بِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ سَبْعُونَ امْرَأَةً، كُلُّهُنَّ يَشْتَكِينَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ، وَلَا تَجِدُونَ أُولَئِكَ خِيَارَكُمْ" . [ ص: 86 ] أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْخُلْعِ وَالنُّشُوزِ.
Iyas bin Abdullah bin Abu Dhabab reports that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not beat Allah's female servants." Then Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Women have become bold towards their husbands." So the Prophet ﷺ allowed them to be beaten. Then many women came to the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and complained about their husbands. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Seventy women have come to the house of Muhammad ﷺ complaining about their husbands. Beware! Such people are not good."
